Pet Tips

Due to the recent pet food scare we have heard lots of comments, such as "I guess I will start cooking for my pets."  If you plan on cooking for your pets, please take a look at a book called "Foods Pets Die For" by Ann Martin.  She has included lots of recipes for cooking for your pet.  They must have a well balanced diet...not just meat.  Important ingredients include: protein, carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, oil, fibers, bran, grain, dairy, Vitamin A, beta carotene, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, biotin, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, minerals, chromium, cobalt, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, potassium, selenium, sodium, zinc... all should be considered when cooking and in the right amounts.  The book includes sources and easy recipes for getting all the right nutrition necessary for a healthy pet.
